In the first class, you'll learn some basic stitches. In this class, you'll get a chance to practice them on an actual piece. We will also take a look at some examples of how different stitches were used in examples from different countries.

Goodwill to Garb (Leandra Corzi):

Thrift store shopping is something that you have to do with an open mind, this isn't like the mall, you aren't going to find anything if you go with a goal in mind. Rather than looking for a finite object, consider the possibility of what the item can become. It is more about knowing what may be useful in the future, and then you might find yourself your own treasure when you go.

 

The SCA is a great place to show off your crafty, creative side, and the thrift store can be a great supplier of inspiration. There are feast kits that one can build, wardrobes to redesign, and many items to fill out ones camp.

Learn the basic stitches for bobbin lace. You will learn braiding, cloth stitch and whole stitch. The basic movements are twist and cross. You will start and finish a friendship bracelet in two hours.
